checked the whole carb did a clean up. one of the float had some dirt inside it.... but only one of them had it.. the rest where clean. so im not sure if this would cause the flooding. probably not..... can you guys tell me how to un flood my engine? ive read a few things online about taking the plugs out. choke off.....fuel tap off... and ful throttle while trying to start the bike... apparently that drains the engine..... ive also checked my oil level and condition.... its pretty normal...i would of thought some fuel may have gotten mixed with the oil but apparently not. so i hope, i HOPE itl work tomorrow.....

Do you have new plugs yet?

If they've died then they'll never work properly.

Easiest way since your not in a rush is take the plugs out and leave it for a few hours, this will let the petrol evaporate.

i had done that 4 or 5 days ago. took the plugs out and kept them out for a few days.. i also blow lamped the plugs.. and nope not bought new plugs yet.. id rather try bow lamping these before i spend 40 odd quid on a new set. i had tried the plugs yesterday and they worked like a charm at first start.. but the engine cut off again slowly as if it were flooding... and then wouldnt start up again, till a few hours later.. soo today i did the carbs etc, and gonna try it again tomorrow.

okay, the bike started up quite well....it ran for 20 minites and then the same thing happend.. it cut of slowly. i force started it buy giving some throttle. and it started fine. gave it some revs about 6 k rpm....and blue smoke started to come out, alot of blue smoke and then cut off quickly...... maybe oil fell into the engine when i droped the bike? i hope the seals are not gone, otherwise more money will be out of my pockets.... any ideas? can i remove this oil from the engine?

Run the engine and see if it goes away. My old CBR had been running on 3 cylinders for probably a couple of years before I bought, I fixed the problem and it blew blue smoke for about 15 minutes then it vanished.

Measure the rod then get one off ebay, at a guess id say you need a M5. You need to work out if you need the reverse thread one or not also, 1 end is normal thread the other end is reversed.
