Hi all, I have in my grubby mitts a 2010 r6 reg/rec, it has 6 pins.
I also have the matching plug with about 6 inches of cable coming out of it, three white wires in a row and above that a red wire and a black wire with a blanked off pin connection between them.
As there are only 5 wires going into this reg/rec and the sixth pin is not in use, can this be used on my NC30??
If it will work, I take it I would be better off to use the original R6 connector soldered to the nc30 loom?
Graham.
R6 reg/rec from 2010 bike, work???

Re: R6 reg/rec from 2010 bike, work???
Should work fine. I fitted one to my NC24 with no problems. As in your case, I had the bit of R6 loom as well so I spliced that onto the NC loom.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Goody goody, I think my original reg/rec is working ok, but as this one cost me diddly squat, I figured a pre-emptive strike was called for!
All i could find using search was people saying that it had to be the r6 one from before 2005, due to having 5 pins instead of 6. Hoping that as this one has one not in use, it would be ok to use, just wanted to check before cuting loom!!
