Stainless steel exhausts
Just found out that the exhaust on my 29 is stainless steel ,which is nice.
But the previous owner has sprayed it black( probbably to avoid cleaning it) .
Whats the best way to get all the paint and rust off without doing too much damage??
I was thinking i may have to get it bead or vapour blasted??

NitroMors

Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

SS does rust, eventually.

Re: Stainless steel exhausts
Stainless steel will rust just like mild steel, only it is much more resilient to it. So conditions like wet salty roads (I wonder where we can find them?), will make them rust pretty quick if not looked after... like mine. Although the rust is only very light.
Also depends on the grade of the SS, there are a few of them.
