Yeah doc johns bike is pretty special.

Got the paint back today and for £210 its spot on noticed a small run on the bellypan and some pinprick holes I forgot to fill but they will get covered with the vinyl.

JM I gave the welder a nudge today for some time scales.

Bodywork and tank are now on, couple of tiny stress cracks during the fitting but with fibreglass it's almost impossible not to and you will be hard pushed to find them.

It looks a bit odd but I guess it's because there is no seat unit.





Glad I asked them to paint the inside of the nosecone black



That's it again, couple of small jobs I can get on with but thats it, doesn't look like I'm going to be getti g the road frame in time to get it powdercoated and then the bike built which is a shame

After a couple of hours swapping between standard wheel and spacers and the dymag I finally have the measurements for the spacers I need to fit the front wheel, the wierd thing is I've never come accross a front wheel that the spacers are almost exactly the same size there is only 1mm difference between them.

Took loads of measurements and used different points.

Well we will see I suppose, I think I've done it right.

Probably not worth an up date but I will be getting the frame with the V5 a week on Thursday, the day before the bike goes to 01fx.

Some grinding, some powdercoat and operation daytime MOT is go :)

Yay finally some shed time...

Firstly test fitted the wheels with the new spacers I got from Kayla and as far as I can tell its about spot on give or take, thought I better check the rear fits as well.

Then after a fair few hours of pissing about drilling, measuring, drilling, fucking up, swearing, cutting and a bit of drilling I've ended up with this..





The pictures make it look tiny and wonky but it isn't, I'm quite pleased with the outcome as behind the carbon where it mounts there are little rubber boots to help to keep it from vibrating.

Next up....top yoke!!



And yes I am aware the front wheel is on backwards....

Look what's sitting in my kitchen.... Needs a clean up as its still quite grotty on the outside but a skimmed, polished and ported head by Mr Ray Stringer the guy who for the last few years built Chris Walkers engines :)







The bodywork is on the rolling chassis over at 01HQ I also have the frame with V5 sat on my bench ready to go to the powderder coaters soon with the sidestand and yoke.

Still waiting for that bloody subframe??????

High 60s mate with the rest of the work done to the motor.
