^^^^ This, With that exhaust i did trim the stock lowers ( the right side) at the bottom and at the back. It fitted fine but did melt the panel, there may still be some residue left on the exhuast where it happened. Sorry i should have mentioned that but i made so many mods to that bike its hard to remember them all

Agree with tony, if you look at my castrol bike it's melted the right lower at the back under the footrest.

agreed chaps, looks like a chunk could come out actually, will loose the oil catch-ability but then its not a track bike so wont really matter , just need to reshape a bit with the dremmel and a stone bit ,
and im gunna get hold of another subframe just to rule out me seat issues , its always handy to have a spare to chop down i guess just incaseys , will keep you posted :)

tygapaul wrote:Check the exhaust is not fouling the lowers. The closed lowers have a dam at the rear to act as an oil retention area for racing regs so this could be the problem. I noticed your exhaust is aftermarket so this could well be an issue and a lot of exhausts will need this area relieving to get it to fit. If in doubt, remove the exhaust and fit lower again. The rest of the panel was moulded off the OEM plastic with the mount holes in the stock position so it is hard to be 2 inches off without some other issue coming into play. Let me know if this is not the case and we can work through it.
ok had good look at the lowers and marked up what needed trimming off and it was a good slice to clear the pipework in order to bring the lowers up that 2" at the rear but its done now and yes it fits nice

didnt get to take any snaps as the cam is on charge but got another early finish tomoz so hope to get out for a few pics of what ive done and some snaps of the seat unit woes , but at least thats one job put to bed and it dont look too bad actually, i really didnt want to have to chop the lowers but needs must and all that

Re: Deviants nc30 strip and rebuild
If it was a standard bike things would fit and there would be not hassle but once you start adding modified things you have to keep modifying things to make sure everything keeps fitting

Re: Deviants nc30 strip and rebuild
been a while , not been very well latley , have had some probs with the bones in me feet so walking has become a real chore and just as things have started to ease a bit ive gone and torn my achillies tendan just to help my recovery
so ive managed to get the bike out and i've fettled and fiddled and chopped and fiddled some more so im now happy with all the bodywork and how it fits , we all love piccys so its time to take a few snaps , got my mate comming to pick up my spare tank and to make a start on wrapping,
while she's been under covers in the shed some surface rust has started to appear on the bolts i cleaned up and didnt swap out for stainless , so they will need treatment or swap outs , so i will be needing (i did want to replace these anyway)
front caliper mounting bolts
fork pinch bolts
front axle nut
side stand mounting bolts
if anyone can help me on what bolt sizes/length needed for these that would be a great help
anyway piccys ....

Looking good,
Go to the probolt website and you can get the sizes for bolts off there.

Re: Deviants nc30 strip and rebuild
ok the seat unit has gone to prowrap for a stick test and all is good so the bike goes to the work shop next week for wrapping in a nice gloss ice-white
its a quick count down of parts thats needed to finish check,
braided brake lines F/B (i have some but want new)
Front fender
rear brake pressure switch banjo bolt
hrc overflow bottle
hrc rear brakeline kit
relay for led indicators
new front disc bolts x12
keyless fuel cap
mirror blanking plates
Ti hub nut and pinch bolt
Ti stem nut
new rear sproket
stainless sprocket nuts
stainless caliper bolts
stainless fork pinch bolts
stainless or Ti axle bolt
that seems to be it off the top of my head , but funds are getting tight at home now so this to me has become a huge mountain pain , looks like its gunna take me a few months to gather all these bits
but should scoop in just in time for the better weather
