Put that 600 cbr on a scale. Honda stopped quoting dry weights as they had backed themselves into a corner. The weights they were quoting were lighter than the race bikes minimum weights. Triumph is more honest, but if they put true weights then they loose the battle of the brochures. The Modern 600's are light, but they are maybe 195 - 200 kg

I would guess wet weight is close to 400lbs (182kg) totally stock. With an empty tank take off 24lbs for 15L of petrol, so 375lbs (170kg). If you take out all fluids I would guess you'd lose another few kg, so 165kg dry is believable.

I put my first NC30 on the scale at work a few years back. It was completely topped up with fuel and the scale was reading 393lbs (178kg). That's with a Yamamoto half system and an aftermarket can of some sort. Not sure what type of can but it was lighter than a stock system for sure. It also had an aluminum Afam rear sprocket which saves a couple lbs off the stock part as well. I should get my new NC30 on a scale as it's all original. Also curious what my track bike will end up at now. That would be my old street bike...

Has anybody weighed a track only NC30??? I'm curious how light you can get these things without going completely crazy with carbon, titanium and $2000 wheels. Thinking more like without lights, no speedo, a race subframe, rearsets and battery etc.

i think 140kg has been easily achieved as a standard track bike weight

The Aussie race regs used to have a minimum weight of 150 kg with the fuel tank removed, which was pretty easy to get down to and didn't cost too much.

Well, take one completely stock NC (30/35 really doesn't matter):

Remove all following; lights, sidestand, fairings, subframe (front, both of them, and rear), charging system, battery, starter motor, wire loom, plastic undertray under seat,, oem footrests (front/rear and exhaust hanger) oem clipons, speedo cable, front axle spacers and the complete exhaust system (incl rear manifold).

Then replace it with this; flimsy thin fibreglass fairing, seat unit and front mudguard, make (or have made) a track wire loom, alloy front (upper and lower) and rear subframes (SES), hollow alloy clipons (SES), alloy rearsets (SES), tyga exhaust hanger or make one from a strip of alloy, get Rick O's front wheel spacers, small 4.6Ah LiFePO4 battery and put a full tyga exhaust system (single can layout) on.

That will get you down to 150-155kg-ish, good to go, but without fuel. Less than that, you will need to spend on wheels, brakes and carbon/titanium bits
