Screen brace question
I have some photos at home that'll put up tonight, but I'll try and explain briefly now. On the left hand side of my bike where the nose cone meets the middle fairing panel there is a clip on the nose cone. On my bike, the 2 don't join in that area. I took the cone off and placed a spirit level on the brace, and the 2 sides are well out. Is a brace completely symmetrical? Is mine bent? Like I said, piccys laters.

Re: Screen brace question
Sounds bent..
Lots of them have been droped and tweaked. If it is the oe steel one then bend it back and see if that helps!
Do your headlamps fit perfectly centrally into the holes in't nose?

Re: Screen brace question
you said you took the cone off to check it, then you just said you messed with it?
no one apart from you can say if it was bent before you started. take it off then if its bent on one particular side check the side of the bike its bent, has someone dropped it without you knowing?

Re: Screen brace question
Sorry must have got my words muddled up. The part where the 2 bits join has been broken since I've had it. I didn't know if the brace is supposed to be totally symmetrical or not. Mine isn't.Simon_Ed wrote:you said you took the cone off to check it, then you just said you messed with it?

So now I know I need to straighten it.
Thanks guys.
EDIT: I see where the confusion was, I should have said "I wanted to know if it was bent before I start messing about trying to straighten it"

Re: Screen brace question
Yes, should be totally symmetrical, both sides identical.oliherst wrote:Simon_Ed wrote: Sorry must have got my words muddled up. The part where the 2 bits join has been broken since I've had it. I didn't know if the brace is supposed to be totally symmetrical or not. Mine isn't.
