My non running 29
Well, i bought a 29 off flee bay a few months ago. Wasn't running and has loads of bits missing, an the bolt holding the front sprocket on was sheered off.( thank the lord for left handed drill bits!
)
Finnally got it running today,connector to the reg/rec from the enine wasn't plugged in and the ht lead to number 4 cylinder wasn't in straight . Also stripped and cleaned the carbs and re-set the air screws ( they were all different! Lol)
Only prob i've got at the moment is the temp gauge (on the clocks i had to buy as there weren't any)
Dosen't move off zero. It moves slightly when the ignitions switched on but nothing after that.
Any common probs with these??? It all seems to be plugged in.
Cheers .

Re: My non running 29
I know my temp gauge takes a while to move and even after a good warm up it only moves a small amount, I have to be out a while before it warms up enough to move upto the T in temp. The Haynes manual lists a few tests you can do on the cooling system.
