inlet rubbers question

Post by paul.s » Fri Dec 30, 2011 1:10 pm

hi i managed to remove the carbs today and removed the restrictor washers good so far but upon examining the inlet rubbers there very hard and have some damage where the carbs go in looks like when the kit was fitted theyv had a little trouble getting the carbs back in one of them has a split and a bit turned inside and the others have loose strips of rubber coming away from the inside .so i looked on david silvers website as there closed for chrimbo and they list new gen ones for jap nc30 at £6 or so will these fit a uk bike of the same year or is there a difference :?:

Yes but to make life easier get the RVF inlet rubbers, they have a tappered edge to make refitting easier. You can use the same clamps

Yarp, exactly as Tony said, buy new RVF ones which are about a quid more expensive if i recall, makes the job a doddle for the next few years of carb on / carb off fun and games.
