Has anyone ever looked at the possibility of using a Honda motocross charging setup on their RVF racebike?
Small, lightweight and readily available.
Prob not a chance in hell it would even be possible.
Would be nice to have the parts to offer it up.
Just a thought.

I want to run an electric water pump. I'm already running a fuel pump so I'm just thinking about a lightweight battery being able to cope for a 20min race.
I'm already total loss. . . . the bike that is although some would beg to differ.

Motocross bikes don't have charging systems.

But these systems are for single cylinder engines.one pickup one coil.
And for that money the gsxr conversion would be the better option,Just bolt on.

Just a thought but how about those Lithium Ion motorcycle batteries?

You can get stupidly high amp capacity ones and they weigh hardly anything! Should manage at least 20 mins i'd imagine. Plus they recharge in no time at all, like 5 mins.!

Plus they discharge slower.. you can leave one for 12 months and it will still start the bike..

Moriwaki man brought one recently for his ZXR and I couldnt' believe the weight of it..

His cost around 80gbp for a 14a/h battery

Probably better to get a Li-ion of Li-fe battery and see how I get on rather than fix something that's not broken yet.
