CB400sf Protection coz the wife keeps dropping it!!!!!!

Post by markbrad100 » Thu Nov 17, 2011 4:33 pm

Hi

Could do with some advice, i need some crash bars or some armer plating cos wifey can't keep the superfour bloody upright, nearly every time she goes it ends up with another broken indicator, broken clock housing scratches missing brake/clutch lever etc

does anybody know where i can get some protection bars.... the stronger the better! and cheapish don't want nylon bobbins as the bike seems to spend more time on its side than up right and going forward.

if any body has any advice for products that can reduce over all damage when bikes are dropped by short arsed butterfingers with balance that suggested an inner ear infection it would be greatly appreciated

also, is there a led tail light with integrated turn signals available for a 92 pre vtec?

thanks in advance!!!

PS do they make stabilisers for motorbikes? lol

Sorry, but did properly el oh el at this!!!!!!!!

If shes that bad and keeps continuing to drop the bike, why not just short arm tackle her in the face and not allow her onto it? Surely thats the best option regardless of her gurning?

Failing that just get the usual R&G crash bungs and some handlebar ends (not sure what type however).

Look into Daytona lady boots they have a thicker sole should help a bit.
Get her in the habit of making sure she pulls up in places she can reach the floor, forward planning and slowing down will help here. Is she trying to keep up with you / another faster rider?
Other than that ISTR wemoto had engine bars?? Once upon a time anyway.

As you say, crash bungs and get her to ride with sports panniers on - all the time.

/this is what I do...

Bought her some new boots last week, ISX ones with a 2" heel and she is so much more confident, managed to get some crash bars off the bay as well..... So far I have spent £360 this year in repairs alone lol

I'll keep you all posted on her progress, I'm dreading next year..... She getting a Harley lol
