New jets fitted!

Post by mattUKNC »

Thanks to Yakama for sending me a pair of 120 jets! They worked a treat.
I replaced both throttle cables at the same time and it's running so much smoother you wouldn't believe!
120f/ 122r - so back to standard UK setup. (It was running 122f/ 124r!)

Just thought I'd share.

Standard airbox, non-standard but unknown full system.
The old setup just didn't really feel right, it's hard to explain really but my previous UK spec felt tight and ready to go. After just swapping those jets this one is feeling close to the other one. Just need a set of SP1 style pipes now! (Not going down that route again.)

Glad they did the trick and glad I could help!

I may be calling on the help of the forum in the next wee while as I may try and build an NC30 from the frame up, I have most of the large parts (bar the engine) like CDI, Exhaust, some fairing, wheels, carbs but I will basically need everything else so gonna try and scrounge parts if possible as needs to be uber cheap

interesting, well im sure iv got a half system on my bike but using a free flow air filter, my carbs are uk spec ones too and where running 124s all round! i swopped the front too 122s and left the rears for now. it started and picked up fine before the swop but couldnt find any evidence to why the 124s all round tbh!? im yet to start it again now iv changed the jetting but the old filter i took out seemed moded in some way, more free flow by the looks so i bought another to put back in.

where abouts are you anyways?? sea level? in right on the coast down south, im hopeing my jetting will about right for where i am. we ll see i supose.
