is there a guide to modifying JDM headlight to accept a H4 55/60 bulb. Mine have the tabs cut off the bulbs but it's not a satisfactory fit really

There really awesome compared to cheap H4's though... 20gbp a set and there so much brighter and a clearer light and last a long time..

Modifying the headlight is fairly easy.

Take it out of the the bike.

Drop a H4 in and see where the tabs want to sit and using a dremel or small file (dremel is easy takes 2 seconds) cut a bit of the plastic away so the tabs can fit in properly.

John at VSource had a very good guide to modifying the headlamps to accept H4 bulbs. As well as cutting the the plastic away the retaining clip needs to be moved to a different hole. Relatively straightforward job and well worth it. I fitted my NC30 with Philips Blue Vision bulbs many years ago.

I work at an auto electricians, and we highly recommend the Philips extreme, you can get em in either 80% or 100% brighter.

So much brighter than originals.

I'll see how cheap I can get em.
