aftermarket air filters nc30 ?

Post by monkeywithaplan »

Just wandering if anyone has tried the aftermarket air filters in the David silvers service pack? They fit as well and work just the same as Honda OE?

Cheers
David

Right, i have had both and i had issues with the aftermarket one on the RVF.
i think if you have any fuelling issues, and perhaps a flat spot in the midrange, the aftermarket ones make it more pronounced.
i spent ages last spring setting up the fuelling on my RVF and never quite got it perfect in the midrange no matter what i did. however when i replaced the filter with a genuine honda one (looks identical) it fueled perfectly midrange and top end.
so make of that what you will, i know what i will be buying from now on for all my 400's

A genuine is only a few quid more than non genuine. Personally, I went for genuine.

The paper in the aftermarket filters just dosnt look or feel the same as a oe filters , for the price difference i would only fit genuine oil and air filters and use good quality brand name oil, after all you only get what you pay for.
