it appears that the RVF Axle is shorter than the 29/23/30 axle which is a pisser as I have RVF forks.

But I think a little research mate will probably turn up that the axles for the 29 are the same as a multitude of bikes.

Just for a start, the spindle with part number 44301-MM5-000 is used on:
CBR1000F 87-96
VTR1000F 98-05
CBR600F 91-98
NT650 88-91 (this is the bros so presumably also the NT400)
nc27
nc29
nc23

Sounds like nc35 is the same but a little shorter. CBR900 92-97 (I can measure this if it's interesting to you) is the same but a little longer, and CBR900 98-99 is the same but a little longer again. I guess if you were making these by hand then there's no real extra work in making the same thing but a bit longer or shorter, as long as you have the dimensions to hand.

Sounds good boys, If you have the time and would like to pull out a measuring stick, that would be great if you can supply the length of said axles and spacers.

I'm going to make following titanium replacements:
1. Front axle for cbr600rr forks + calipers mounting bolts.
2. Read axle + caliper bolts.
3. Conversion kit for CBR900 42 teeth sprocket + nuts
4. ?????

If anybody interesting - let me know, I'll check the price.

I've machine the axle down to the correct width and length, just need to bore it out and tap the thread.

Current weight is .378g un drilled/bored. So only have 78g to lose then we are lighter then the std axle.

So, is the finished product going to be a tube or a rod? I may well be interested, just depends on the budget, and of course on how much weight it saves.

I'll be up in Sydney over Christmas, so if this happens, I could pick it up and save the postage.
