so just about ready to install the new shock on the RVF and undid the the nuts on the linkages and dogbone and trying to remove the bolts is just proving to be a bitch of a task since they just turn in place and dont actually retract. what the fudge is up? anyone encountered this and can shed some light?
it's hurting my brain lol

Re: WTF is with these bolts?
Take the weight off the the link bolts by jacking up the swinging arm so it just moves up a fraction.
Sometimes the bolt housing burrs over the nut end, gripping the bolt thread, sometimes the cap head bolt is tight in the counter bore in the swinging arm.
Usually a brass drift will shift the bolt, put an old nut on first to protect the thread.

Re: WTF is with these bolts?
So you've taken the nuts off and the bolts are spinning in place? They should just pull out. Put something under your back wheel to take the load off the suspension/linkages. If you cant be chewed with that then just rest something thin/strong (something like a center punch) and hammer them out from the nut end.
EDIT: Someone always gets there before me

Re: WTF is with these bolts?
i done my suspension and had to do a combination of what was said:
i had to use a car ramp to slide under the rear wheel to take the weight/load off the suspension (a few bricks or bits of wood would do the same job if you don't have one) then i used a drift/center punch to push the bolt through (or a old screwdriver that you dont care about).
