Possibly, I've never received any genuine keihin jets from Rick.

I have just had a look at the RO supplied mains that I removed the other day. They are stamped AB 117.5/115.

Having had a good run to Stafford on Saturday, taking a mixture of roads, the stuttering is nowhere near as bad as 1st impressions on my previous short blast - infact the bike pulls crisp & strong from 8k with just the odd slight hiccup occasionally at about 11k. Of more concern is the sluggish spot seems more pronounced & over a greater part of the rev range than previously, was in the 5.5-7k range now sluggish from 5 to 7.5k rpm.

I'll try some Keihin jets & go from there :P

Who else saw that beautiful RWB NC30 inside the hall, with only 9k on the clocks.
Was it totally genuine, the female who was keeping an eye on it said she bought it brand new, now sold it to her friend & that it was an '89 UK model but it was a Holmogenated(?) special bike with oil catch tank, later model forks & other cahnges. Does this sound right??
Looked nice tho ;)

Sounds like an excuse for a bitsa but could be wrong.

That hole in the midrange is needle transition time.

Are your needles shimmed? If so how many shims on them?

Yep, deffo start of needle lift area of rev range.

I want to get the top end/mains right so needles are still stock with a single .5mm washer.

just ordered 4 - 115 Keihin mains off ebay.

on the subjest of mains when I stripped mine for inspection the number stamped on the mains was barely legible, i'd say 99% they were what they should be and were in the right place. but should they be that hard to read, it's was almost as tho they were erroded away a little.

It looked all correct to me, only the 1989 seemed wrong as the frame number was 319, much later than my mid 1990s registered bike.
Did the owner mean it was different to Jap model, not much would have been known 21 years ago and memories can be confused.

The current owner Andy Bolas is well know in the VJMC I think, he will know the answer.

^^^
Didn't the rumours of the possible existence of 'special edition' UK bikes get put to bed in another thread a few months back?
