Re: Dyno Disappointment.....
Ok, thanks for the info. I'll source some genuine Keihin mains 115/117.5.
At least a dyno run will give us hard evidence of the difference between RO & Keihin jets.
Quick Q - There are two lengths of Keihin jets listed on ebay 8 & 9mm, which are fitted to the NC as I don't want to be back to square one!
Cheers, Phil

These are what you need.. 3gbp from wemoto they don't seem to list 118's though

118's
Just need to go by Honda part numbers above..
while the ebay ad lists diameter as 5mm and wemoto as 6mm i think there just measuring badly... 8mm is the correct height.

I still think it'd be a shame to move the goalposts when your jetting really isn't far off on what you have. Another 2 pair of jets from RickO gives you access to 3 combinations, 1 of which would have to be correct.Neosophist wrote:99101-393-1150

Re: Dyno Disappointment.....
Another good point.
For just over 10 quid could get a 118/115 kehin setup and compare it with Rick O jets?

Thanks, all good feedback, the way I see it, I'm a bit lean on stock 110s & a bit rich on Rick O mains. I really fancy trying stock Keihins. At keast then we will KNOW if Ricks jets are richer & if so by how much.....

It's some excellent community spirit, but still a more expensive way to solve your problem.phil x wrote:Thanks, all good feedback, the way I see it, I'm a bit lean on stock 110s & a bit rich on Rick O mains. If it will pull right through without stuttering on RO's jets, it's only a little rich. If it won't pull through without stuttering on your other set, it's a lot lean.
I will let you to the decision, fingers crossed you get it right with the minimal amount of costly dyno time!

On a slight tangent, what the advantages/disadvantages of using equivalently matched DJ, or non at all?

Re: Dyno Disappointment.....
The more common DJ jets (the ones RO sells) are meant to flow more fuel than a equivalent keihin jet, ie 122 DJ is the same as a 130 Keihin. In my experience this is true as i found out the hard way wondering why the various sets of carbs i rebuilt were way to rich as id used DJ mains
