Re: NC30 question
It's just the frame code. There was a post about it just last week
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

The 'N' relates to the engine capacity (bikes with something like 251 to 400cc)
(for example;'M' covers 100 to 250cc, 'P' covers the 401 to 650cc range, 'R' covers the 651 to 750+cc etc - not sure on the exact capacity each letter covers but you get the idea.....)
The 'C' is Honda's designation for road/sports bike.
'D' id for on/off road.
There are more that cover commuters & off road bikes etc.
30 is the model number Honda give it - normally with a few digits space between the preceeding version (prototypes???)
NC30 = (VFR400) 400cc enine capacity range, street/sports bike
RC35 = (VFR750) 750cc capacity (range) street/sports bike
MC21 = (NSR 250) 250cc capacity street/sports machine
RD04 = (XRV750 Africa Twin) 750cc on/off road bike
and so on......

Re: NC30 question
How about Honda racing designations, such as CR110, RC174.
How are they derived, any idea?.
