NC30 Fitting shock and chain- what else should i do?

Post by philfingers »

I'll be fitting a newer shock and new chain and sprockets later in the week, whilst i'm at it any tips (I'm handy with spanners) or things to catch me out.
Is there anything else worth a look whilst I'm at it. Was going to inspect/clean/grease the suspension linkages etc. I have an Abba stand but is it worth taking the swingarm out too, i've no intention of removing the exhaust at this stage. I know if i remove the swingarm i'll need to make/buy a tool for the nut.
Any pointers appreciated!

Yes, 46mm. You can then grease the bearings in there too ;)

the rear hub nut is somehting like 140nm - might even be 160nm..will dig it out.

The bearings are pretty large and sit in the holder nicely. The service manual is on the front page of the site I think, if not, PM me your mail and I'll send it over
