Well, it was a good ride to see all the RC30's on Sunday, hot sunny day, clear roads early on, and some lovely UK spec NC30's. Arsey30 (Dave) has done a great job keeping his bike in such great condition. I didn't realise the rear lights don't have the bar(H-piece) between them on the UK ones! Everyday is a learning day!! Also how big the indicators are too!!

On night shift now and its pretty quiet so got the fairings out for some more prep.

Have a couple of lugs to make using plastex - its not too big a job, and one more crack I found while sanding down to repair.

Lowers, mids, H-piece all sanded ready. Just gotta get the top done tomorrow, and the seat unit sometime after that!!

A point to note for anyone using plastex is that its pretty hard stuff. When sanding the panels down, the paint was coming off/sanding down quicker than the plastex, so just a bit of caution needed.

Stand by for more updates!

Here are couple of pics of the fairing with decals placed on (they will need alot of time to position right and some slight trimming for air vents etc) Plus there is one more decal I need to get.

It'll look loads better once the colour is on there too!!

Is it this variation of the Mister Donut scheme you're going for?

Should look great, reminds me of the early NSR's.

Thats the one Jim!

I'm staying fairly true to the sponsor stickers but have changed Michelin for Pirelli, and a few other small changes.

The over all impression will be the same, as will be the paintwork.

And I get to keep my No.33!!!!!!!!!

No real progress, the panels are in my garage waiting for a lul in the work my painter has.

I just need to rub down the tank and seat unit panels (not too much work to do on these parts)

It'll probably go off to Billy at Bodyworks sometime in the new year (early part!)

Bt I'm in no rush as the bike needs a good top to toe clean as its still a litlle bit manky from the trackday in September!

Thanks for the interest though! I'll keep you updated with progress. :-)

With my impending move back down to the South West, the bike is going to be on hold for a little while longer - only until I'm all settled in my house though.

The bike will be in my garage, all settled in and secure, and I can then get to work cleaning, fitting bits I have aquired, and the all important paint job/new panels can be fitted.

Really looking forward to moving and sorting the bike properly.

I have some good friends who are great with electrics so the dash can get sorted and access to a dyno machine so we can see what she is producing!!

No real progress on the bike fairings as its been manic moving house.

I've just managed to clear some space in the garage to make a start on finishing the panels for paint.

On a plus note, I started the bike up today- the first time for about 5 months - on the 3rd press of the button she spluttered into life. No need to charge batteries or anything- i'm chuffedt to bits, I'll be out and about on her in the good weather to come :-)
