i had one , all aluminium, very light , mine sounded very loud , didnt keep mine very long as it was badly scuffed and needed repacking which meant having the can cut then welded back up , i wasnt to keen on the banana shaped can either , however yours looks in much better condition than mine was , good systems i was told at the time , if mine wasnt so fucked i would of kept it on the bike , might i ask what you paid for it

I reckon it'd make a great race system being alloy.

It does look loud, especially as repacking the muffler is a cut job.

I like it.

Your other issue is that, since it needs to be welded back together after cutting, you will probably melt a fair portion of the packing before the bike even gets used again, non?

A mate had one on an nc27 years ago. I really like the look of the bendy cans, though they aren't to everyone's taste. Very loud, mind.

I wonder if it'd be possible to rejoin it by any other method than welding? The bendy can means you can't simply re-sleeve it of course. Maybe have a internal collar welded to the cap and rivet through the sleeve? Same problem with the bendy can?

Had one for the 24.. loud but light.

Can you not get a shove in baffle?

If not amortis idea is good.. weld a small sheet on the inside and use it to rivit the can back together, possibly apply some silicon sealer to it before its rivted.. could look quite good if you had a neat line of rivits down the one side

Yeah I think I could get a baffle stuck in it to keep things quiet, I'll see if I can get the time to get it fitted
