Re: NC30 battery question
Hi, yeah if its been over charging it could of boiled the fluid away, or if it been deep discharged it may of dropped a cell. maybe worth trying to top it up if its a recent battery. But please be very carefull. When i did the reg on mine i just used standard spade connectors (from maplins) for the reg, but solder them on crimping will fail again soon!

Re: NC30 battery question
Thats for your reply. Do you know if I can do away with connecter block that connects the 3 yellow wires down next to the alternator? Like can I just cut and solder the wires together?

you can do away with the connector block that connects the yelow wires yes.... running from the alternator direct to the reg/rec is fine.

Re: NC30 battery question
I have now done away with the connector block next to the alternator. The results I got were as follows:
Battery alone 13.2
Idle with lights 12.33
Idle no lights 13.3
5000rpm with lights 12.7
5000rpm no lights 13.8
I also tested the voltage between the 3 yellow wires and they were all approximately 40.00. From what i've read I think it's safe to say the problem is the alternator. Can someone please confirm?
Thanks
