HRC map ignitech
Got the jetting finnished on the nc35 saturday then swapped the stock cdi for the ignitech loaded with the hrc map and did some back to back runs, oooooo looks like theres way too mutch ignition advance for a stock motor it was -3bhp with the ignitech fitted with losses all the way through the range. will try the stock uk map next week then have a play with the ignition settings to see what we can get out of a stock motor.

Re: HRC map ignitech
try backing the advance off on the HRC map, I swear I heard that someone had tried a -2 map that worked better :)
I'm running a -1 map on my VFR, but thinking it could do with dialling back another degree maybe.
Having a dyno you could make a totally custom map based on the readouts comparing HRC and the modified UK +2 map, seeing where it runs best, and using that advance value to make one

Re: HRC map ignitech
No problem bud,ive got the nc35 up to 64bhp, with stock cdi fitted so will see if ignitech can get abit more out of her ? , well impressed with the results so far only got 61bhp out of the 30, the 35 carbs are lot easyer to play with compared to the nc30s and the power curve dosnt go flat at the top end compared to my old 30 it just keeps going up till 14k, was going to fit 30 carbs as they are bigger but looking at the curves the 35 carbs work very well indeed so if it aint broke dont fix it.

Re: HRC map ignitech
we found doing a back to back dyno run in 2001 the RVF carbs while down a tad up top by a fraction, were better all round and esp in the mid range fueling where it counted. esp on a road bike anyway. still got my graphs from then somewhere i think.
for years most here have run RVF carbs for the win

Re: HRC map ignitech
I overlaid my old 30 over the 35 they were about the same untill about 11500 then the 35 just keeps pulling where the 30 just flattened off, i did some base runs on the bike before the mods it was a totaly stock nc35 with 3,500mls on the clock and it made 49.5bhp was the best run out of six.
