NC30 Carb Needles
Hi, just giving my bike a bit of service to see why theres a missfire about 7K. Anyway i took slides out to see if the diaphrams were split or anything and the needles dont point straight up, parallel to the side of the slide, they lean towards the little hole in the bottom of the slide. I've ever seen this before, all the carbs i've taken to bits before the needle sits straight to the slide, so i wondering if me slides have worn somehow?

Hope you can see wat i mean?
Thanks
Ian

Re: NC30 Carb Needles
There's nothing wrong with them Ian, it's typical.
The needles don't sit centrally in the emulsion tubes at high air velocities.

Re: NC30 Carb Needles
regarding your misfire check the plugs, I had the same problem at around 7-8k, turned out to be a cracked ceramic on one plug.
