NC30 VERY POORLY :(

right the other day my bike made a pop backpressure noise and then was runing on 2 cylinders. tried loads of stuff. then need to do compression test so made a tool to do so. i have 55psi in left rear cylinder and 0 psi in back right cylinder.

now wtf do i do lol that was my only for of transport. so bought a car the day after. and now i carnt see how im guna afford this work. and we still carnt say wat it is.... doesnt sound cheap.

how much does this kinda thing cost... and any ideas on what it can be? if the engine out do you think i should get in an clean everything you can not normally get too ? not a happy bunny

I had an issue like that a few years ago but on an IL4 - i had a hole in a piston!

Check the oil for metal or similar, hows the plug thread?
I know its not the best news but prepare to replace the engine & if you dont need to, you'll be happy.
With-out more info, its a little hard to tell exactly what the problem is but saying that, i know some issues you just need to be there to look @.

sounds fine when start up just nt running on back cyclinders. we reckon i have just split a piston rings or valves no nasty noises when it runs. so hopefully shudnt have to have new engine shurley just fix the one i got

If you want to know what it wrong you'll have to take it to bits. To sort pistons rings or pistons you are looking at some decent wedge.

Would not be running it at all and would be looking to get that rear head off it and see the damage. If you have fucked the barrels and the pistons you might as well get a new motor and fit that.

If both rear cylinders have failed, it may be a camshaft or drive broken.
Very unusual but I have seen camshaft snapped in 2, take the rear cover off and turn the engine over.

55psi is AWFUL compression for the one cylinder.

As Dave (arsey30) has said... it's usually something more serious that's failed if a pair of cylinders fail alltogther.

Not to question the quality of your tool but have you compression tested the front cylinders too, and if so what readings did you get with them? (just to prove your tester works)

Do not run the bike at all!

Did you compression test it with carbs off or Throttle open fully?

I no it is. N am goin to do fronts wen we start on the job at the moment its in a que. N we did with throttle open fully. Only prob is there is no way i cAn afford all this. But i love my bike. Wat kinda money can u get if stripped n sold bits?? Sorry if text is bad im at work on me phone

You'll get a few quid for a stripped engine but not a massive amount of money but you may need the parts as a replacement engine may come short of side case internals & side cases etc.
You're best off whipping it out (the engine) & having a proper look, then starting the hunt for what you need.
Ive brought good engines for between £120 - £130 before on here, so they are about.

& you really shouldnt keep trying to run the engine & have you checked the oil? Its the easiest way to check for damage & takes what? 10 mins to drop it out.
