Exhaust end can options...

Thanks for the replies guys... Ok I'll steer clear of that one... Yeah Tyga can is a slip on, and Gavin at Jap4 said I'd need an adapter thing, or I'd need to do some welding or something... Plus it says it's a race can, so I guess it would fail the bike on it's MOT... Oh, and I wouldn't want one that's too noisy... Ha, oh dear, someone's going to recommend standard soon!!

FYI, allow me to jump in there if you will... we at TYGA Performance already make no less than three carbon silencers specifically for the RVF400 including a traditional round one (EXSL -0022), a round one with a carbon end cap (EXSL-0122) and a new oval carbon with carbon end cap (EXSL-0034) You can see them here:

Noise is not too bad if you keep the revs down but you could always put a decibel killer in for the MOT.

Em i would worry about the MOT, ive never had a legal can on any of my bikes, oh except the one i brought off you

same here, 2 mots with a 108dB tyga fitted obviosly a baffle chucked in and got an advisory on my first and no mention on the second, i now have a New 440mm tyga oval carbon can it should in theory be a little quieter than the 330mm i previously had,

tyga do the courtesy of NOT putting not for road use or race use only so the MOT or PLOD cannot comment on the purpose of the can,

go for the Tyga you wont regret it, and if the volume is to much fitt a baffle, i have a couple you could borrow for mot/or try before you buy.

Mmm thanks guys - I'll look into the adapter thing for the stainless Tyga can because carbon is really not my thing... Wish they did stainless bolt ons damn it! But oh well, I'll work something out I'm sure

Ok, really want to go ahead with the Tyga stainless exhaust so will go to my local bike shop tomorrow and ask nicely if they could fit a slip on can to my bike...!

You would prob be better finding another exhaust system and cutting it and welding on hooks such as these to fit the slip on:

That way you can keep your original system should you ever sell it
