Howto: Re-Fit NC30 VFR400 Carburators (VIDEO)
it amazes me with the ammount of people that struggle to fit there carbs im going to show you how and prove how quick it can be done,
the video is shakey i could have done with another pair of hands to film it, and i could have done it much quicker,
there is no script and this was off the cuff so dont moan, ohh and you about to experiance some proper YAM YAM SPAKE!
enjoy

1 - make sure you throttle cable & choke cables are in the right positions to refit once the carbs are located.
2 - make sure ALL rubber clamp screws are lose "Stupidly lose" as the rubbers need to stretch for the carbs to seat properly, you can smear a bit of red rubber grease in if you want to,
3 - the front 2 carb rubbers face the choke side
4 - the rear 2 carb rubbers face upwards
5 - drop the idle adjustor screw into the gap in the frame as you lower the carbs,
6 - locate the carbs into the front 2 rubbers, check underneath with a torch before applying pressure,
7 - apply pressure until they click into place youll hear the slide springs rattle if your lucky thats the reasuring sound i go by,
8 - using a small flat blade screwdriver (i used a 3.5mm Facom driver) lever Cylinder one rubber bike lightly and apply pressure downwards and keep the pressure applied
9 - do the same again to cylinder 3 and then apply further pressure until you hear the slide springs rattle again.

I found the biggest difference between this job being a complete pig and a 1 min job was fitting them to a warm bike i.e warm pple rubbers vs. a cold/standing in the garage for a while bike. Some people heat them in warm water first.
I fitted new rubbers here (mid winter) and it took my forever. However, at the track on a warm bike, I popped them off and on in about 30 secs! Obviously don't get it too hot else you will burn yourself.
