Koso oil and water temp

Post by Lane »

So, I'm about to order a Koso RX1n for the RVF and keen to hear people experiences with the oil temp sensor.

I was going to tap the sump plug, although i notice pre-tapped plugs are so cheap it would save on buggering around with the sump plug and it means if i decide to switch to an oil gallery fitting i can throw the old sump plug back in no problem, anyone know which size is the correct one for an NC30 engine.

Is the sump the ideal place or have people found better results from a different point?

Also, thge water temp guage supposedly fits straight into the old temp sensor mount? However there are inline plumbing kits available for the guages.

Any feedback from peoples experiences would be much appreciated.

Chris.

Believe the slump adapter is M12 x1.5.

I fitted an inline temp sensor before realising it could fit straight into the exsisting one.

Got a spare sensor on ebay at the mo http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260847849635? ... 1555.l2649

Ive just finished fitting mine with the help of Tony. Its all still pretty fresh in my head but things dont stay in there for long so any questions just ask. Was thinking about doing some sort of guide as found instructions useless.
