Re: lee's nc30 rebuild
got my arse into gear after work and many months of not progrressing any further, and took the forks back out as ive got a upgrade kit from R.O , im hoping to get the forks stripped tommorow night so i can get the bottoms of to the powdercoaters, im not sure if to go silver or dark grey,
the plan is to take a few other bits to get powdercoated at the same time, screen brace brackets clips ons etc.
but i had a little accident
anyone got a spare forsale?

Re: lee's nc30 rebuild
had a bit a time of this week so i managed to get the engine back in, and the solid alloy handle bars drilled and fitted
still shit loads to do but thats the worst of it out the way
off the top of my head todo list:
rear shock rebuild
shock linkage raise mod
paint rads and refit........... best stop there the moment ( it could go on for ever
first get the engine running , then..........................................................

Re: lee's nc30 rebuild
got round to refitting the carbs and air box, it took a lot longer than it should as i forgot what a bast##d the carbs are toget into the rubbers, also had probs with the throttle cables sticking so had to take them apart, clean and relube them, the was also abit of a kink on one which i managed to straighten out, even though there working better there still not shutting fully, i think its catching on a bit thats slightly frayed at the end, so ill proberly have to swap them for fresh ones.
bottom rad is repainted and fitted, still need to paint the top one,
still a lot to do, but next step is oil filter, oil, exhaust clamps and then i should be able to fire it up for the first time in two years

Re: lee's nc30 rebuild
Got the exhaust fitted rads topped up, oil and filter but it wont start! The optimate4 is saying the battery is ok but there is no neutral light and when I hit the start button the starter relay is just clicking so im assuming its just a bad earth, any ideas any one? Im gonna start with fitting the r.o. earth upgrade kit I've got then go from there.....
