oil draining plug star head out 1st or dose the 19mm nut do?
as title says when draining the oil do u take the star head screw out 1st or can it be done by just the 19mm nut??? i tryed takeing the screw out but it dosnt seem 2 wana go any where so thought id ask 1st b4 ringing it lol

Oh and by the way bike is a 3TJ model just incase ther different on some models.

Just take out the 19mm bolt as that is the drain plug.
I was always going to replace my drain plug with an aftermarket version with a built in magnet as it should pick up any metal fragments that might be floating around in the oil/sump pan, but i never got around to it.

ok no problem cheers for that.the 19mm nut seems very tight so i thought maby did the we start head need 2 come out 1st so i tryed it and it also seems very tight so i thought before i ring the start head i would ask 1st lol.

The cross head scew is only there so you can use a scewdriver to unscrew and screw up the drain plug when it's not being torqued
