Bare Frame Cleaning and Swingarm Polishing
Hi,
Having got back in to the NC30 i now have the engine out and will soon remove the swingarm and front forks.
1 - I am confident that using an orbital polisher i can clean the shiny part of the frame but the rought part at the rear looks like it has dirt ingrained. I have tried using Autosol but this does not seem to be working. Do you guys have any idea how i can clean this up?
2 - The seingarm is minging so i am going to sgot Blast it clean. What sort of paint would you recommend? My second option is to powdercoat. I have tried cleaning the swingarm but there are a number of small impressions etc which is why i want to take it back.
(Pic to be inserted once bikepics is up and running again)
Thanks in advance.

Parafin and a brush for the cast bits. Also lots of patience.
Polished frames are a bit passé, you missed that boat in about 1995, around the same time as (purple) anodised fairing bolts and brake levers... I wouldn't bother at all. Mostly, the original finish cleans up pretty well using parafin, but if it won't then maybe either powder coat or new clear or black anodising.
