Each to their own :). Though of course if I actually had a hundred quid to spare, and had nothing else to spend it on (beer, fags, cosmetic and performance upgrades for my NC30), then perhaps I would have my wheels repaired professionally

I had my eye on one but I missed it in the endNeosophist wrote:in the mean time i'd keep your eye out on ebay, there might be a cheap undamaged wheel on there

I'm in need of a front wheel (17").mo haggs wrote:i have an un-damaged vfr wheel (18") going cheep if your interested
I'm waiting for them to get back to me with a quote, which I'm sure they will on Tuesday. If it's £50 or less + postage I'll do that unless I can find a second hand one for less.mick.mh2racing wrote:I'd leave well alone with any hammer and stump up the £50 motorliner charge you.

performance and cosmetic upgrades arn't much good if the wheels disintigrate though :/Doomah wrote:Each to their own :). Re: Is this wheel useable?
either way i wouldn't use that wheel, like it was said, you can get wheels straightened and repaired properly, i know some bsb teams send there wheels off to get them repaired so as long as it's done to a good standard you should be ok.
just make sure its safe thats all

if your going to scrap it i'll take it off your hands,i need something to wheel this rolling chassis around so i can get it out of the way to work on things, doesn't matter if it's 100% or not as i don't think i could disintigrate it at walking pace ...
get back to me sure and we can chat

My replacement wheel from Geoff33 turned up today and shall be shod in rubber tomorrow.
Thanks for all the replies.

I'm probably going to get it fixed at a later date by the company mentioned earlier in the thread.royster81 wrote:if your going to scrap it i'll take it off your hands,i need something to wheel this rolling chassis around so i can get it out of the way to work on things, doesn't matter if it's 100% or not as i don't think i could disintigrate it at walking pace ...

It's worth mentioning that scrap is worth money again, if you do have a dinged wheel that can't be fixed you may as well see how much you'll get for it.
