NC23 tank, lock mech removal?
i have a NC23 tank (for the hybrid), no key or the key no longer works.
i have removed the bolts from the ring but still cant get it open/off.. any ideas?
can i drill the lock?
i will be replacing the whole lot with a quick release cap later on.

This is also the only way I know, but does tend to leave you with odd bits of metal rattling around the tank. Nothing to worry about, you will get them out by turning it upside down and shaking it. For ages. DAMHIKT.jaypottsey wrote:just bang a screwdriver in and turn with some grips thats how i did mine when i lost the key
DO NOT try to lever it open, as you will only deform the tabs it locks against inside the tank.
