I found riding any sports bike took time for muscles to adapt, then things improved.oldgreyandslow wrote:Jeez
It didn't feel uncomfortable at the time, but this morning I seem to have aches where I didn't know I had bits to ache!
Hopefully with more time on the bike I'll get bike fit
However, when I was a young whippersnapper like you , I felt fine.

neck, back, knees, wrists, ankles, bum all become victims of repetative NC30 strain injury
i am going to re cover my seat and get some of that fancy gel pad to insert, im ideally suited for an NC30 with my weight and height 10.5-11stone 5'5" would get some fancy riser clip ons but i bought nice rick o ones and had my clamps powder coated.

I am the same as Philx being 6'1" and 15.5 stone and fold myself onto my NC24, the seat does the job, but boy is it slippery, I get my spine bashed over some bumps, forth road bridge joints always catch me out, and get me bearings rascalled under hard breaking, might have to look into that strom grip stuff or like you get it recovered so its more comfy and not so slippyporndoguk wrote:arsey30 wrote:oldgreyandslow wrote:Jeez

Re: The day after - Backache!
Too heavy.
5'5 - 5'7 and 8 - 9.5 stone is ideal.
Even then it's still uncomfortable on long journeys.
But it's supposed to be.
It's a 'sports' bike... even though it's really old now, modern sports bikes still use the same basic geometery.
A VFR800 is a much better tourer, more power and torque and riding position you can sit on all day and get off and feel fine.
While it is perfectly possible to 'tour' on a sports bike, NC30 included there not designed for it.

In other words, sized like a Japanese person, so 6 foot and 11 stone 4 is too big alsoNeosophist wrote:Too heavy.

But the height will just make it more difficult to get into a good 'race' position and the extra weight will interfere with stomach to tank ratio aha.
But even this aside as I put.. there not built to go haulin ass around the world on, just like a Jaguar XKR isn't very good for passangers.. although it's still possible

Re: The day after - Backache!
Never really found it a problem, gone 200 miles in a day and was fine next day and that was when i was a lardy 16 stone.
