i'd be looking to rebuild the carbs with oem parts back to standard spec apart from slightly upized jets for the can. (115/118 or possibly 118/120) Then get it on a dyno (best £20 you'll spend) for a look at where the fuelling is, then adjust to suit- taking advice from your riendly dyno operator/specialist.
Oh, yeah and get a new oem filter on there too...
