Re: RVF400, race bike, never ending story
I´m making holiday with my whole family in spain and i have time to make some thoughts (is it right in english)
about the bike. Thorsten Durbahn make my loom, ecu in the front of the bike and the loom have 4 parts. I think it is better to put the ecu in the subframe.
In winter i will make my own loom, one piece.

End of September we will go to the dyno aigain. Order a new clutch and hope we will get the rest of the map.
But first Luis has to make the new airbox.

I would add knock sensor to your loom - I hope Motec support this. If you like I can share my loom for NC29, but this done with Microsquirt-II.
And keep in mind that sensor output (like cam, crank, wideband lambda controler, knock) better to shield to avoid noise.

Leave the ECU in the front. Keep it away from heat.

Mike I fit ECU to tail unit. I think it more secure for race bike and cold enough.

That´s what i think too. In the subframe when you chrash the bike the ecu has more secure and the loom must be lighter, because the way is shorter to the electical parts.PARUS wrote:Mike I fit ECU to tail unit. I think it more secure for race bike and cold enough.
What do you think Mike?
