Hiya and new rearsets/stalling with no choke!
Hiya everyone, im new to this forum after just buying a vfr NC30 off a friend who has moved on to a bigger bike. This is my second bike after selling my 2003 SV 650 around a year ago, i got the bike as i want to make a track/weekend blast bike and heard these were a good bike.
The bike isn't in the best condition after two small drops.
when the bike was dropped it bent the ali plate in which the brake foot rest is on, it looks like this has pulled the little brake cylinder thing which is by the foot pedal which meant the rear brake was always engaged. after trying to straighten it out with varying degree of success the cylinder thing wont pop back out and it is still not 100 straight. Just wondering if anyone had any for sale, i be looking to buy the whole foot unit? also does anyone have a good way of getting out rounded allen key bolts as we rounded two while trying to get the brake rear set off and would Honda sell new bolts to replace these?
Also when i first started the bike i had to have the choke on full however after the bike was warmed up i kept trying to lower the choke which when nearly turned off completely the bike revs would drop lower and lower until the bike stalled, this happened even after the bike had been running for 20 min. Any ideas?
Love the site so far
regards
Louie

to undo the allen bolts you might find a torx bit does the trick.
if someone gives you the size of the allen bolt you can pick up bolts off ebay and a variety of places.. (im sure someone on here will be along shortly to tell you what size you need)
as far as the revs... has this just started doing it? have you tried fiddling with the idling adjuster on the left hand side of the bike. sticking out the left infill....
