Right Ignitech can do the CDI, I have to get one or 2 pics for Rick and send my CDI over, then they'll be ready to be made.

Rick has informed me it's possible to do this with 4 of us, so I'm leaving the offer open until the 14th in case any one else wants in, it should help bring the cost of the units down a bit (how much, I'm not sure!) If anyone wants one after that you'll have to contact either Rick or myself and pay a lot more for it, as it'll be a one off (look how much trouble there's been trying to get 5 people to have one!)

Sam how do they take the map from your CDI and put it on the Ignitech? I only ask as I would like to take a copy of the CDI map on my new race bike as Im unsure if its standard or not (no sticker on CDI) and compare it to the standard map

I don't know mate, they would be the people to ask I suppose, if you want it read we can have it sent (recorded and insured!) and can have it put on as an option, I perfectly understand if you say no to that, hell, I would! When the units get sent out they come with a CD with info on, that info being a user guide and (on the NC30's) the stock map, improved UK (-mid range dip and +2 deg advance) map and the HRC map.

Like I said, I don't know until we know for sure whether there'll be 4 or 5 units, but get as close to £140 as you can, I can sit tight if you're £10 or £20 short when I need paying (that'll be before the order goes through as I simply don't have enough to pay for them up front by myself.

Yeah thats the thing I'd rather not post it off. Was just wondering if it was something that could be done from home?

not as far as I know mate, I will ask Rick though, I understand your reluctance to send it off, bike like that would probably cost me a years wages! I'll let you know ASAP.

Morning, all -

I now have 4 x NC23 Ignitech CDIs sitting on my shelf so it`s time to show Sam the colour of your money...

Ay the moment they just have a generic advance map in them but I`m working on coming up with an approximation of the stock and HRC curves. Graeme says that the NC29 maps work well on the NC23 and I do already have those on file.

To get accurate timing information I will have to send the OE units over to Ignitech to be `read` - if anybody wants to loan a stock or HRC unit I will take the best possible care of them and get them turned around ASAP but if you have misgivings about that I do understand.

Hi, Sam -

Yes, fine for Sunday - morning or evening would probably be best, give me a ring to arrange...

Cheers,
Rick
