I use a 1/8 " clip......fits well and of course as an aviation engineer I lockwire everything.

Re: Rear wheel R Clip size
Strange you mention this actually, as I have a standard sized one (smaller than in pic above) and sits flat against the wheel. If they fit correctly you shouldn't need to lockwire them, but I can see why you might want to, can't hurt. Will pop outside and get a pic of mine (if you dont mind a bit of dirt on an NC)
edit:

Not sure what size this is though.

I have one very similar in SS. Came from a bike shop over here though, 600 yen so about 4.50gbp.graham72 wrote:Newflee wrote:I use a 1/8 " clip......fits well and of course as an aviation engineer I lockwire everything.

I still have the packet somewhere and i'm sure it has sizing info on it.
It's nice and chunkey though and looks a lot better than the split pin that was dangling off fitted by some previous owner

Yours is slightly different as it sits on top of the castleated (sp) nut ratherthan the pin going through it!

Re: Rear wheel R Clip size
It goes through the casleated nut so cannot rotate, but the clip actually clips onto the stub axle rather then around the nut.
