NC24 parts
Hi everyone,
My dad is rebuilding an NC24, and although he has bodywork, it is all quite damaged. Where can we get hold of a set of bodywork? We are quite drawn to the rothmans paint scheme.
Also, after inspection of one of the fork stantions, he has decided he needs a new one of those aswell. Anyone got anything?
thanks,
Matt

Re: NC24 parts
You can get chinese panels off ebay, though you seem to get what you pay for, i.e. not as good as original and not all the holes line up properly, but they look alrite
they do them in repsol aswell

Re: NC24 parts
This is where you have to consider "is it worth it" as you'll never get back what you spend on it.
A mint (I mean proper mint, 8000km/s mint bodywork) everything NC24 only fetched £920 on ebay the other day.
Only place your easily able to get a new fairing from is chinese ebay sellers, looking around £270 delivered, it's not half as good as the original kit and you'll have to drill some holes to make it line up.
Wemoto have new fork stantions but their £98.00 each, you'd probably be better off chasing up some secondhand ones.
Ebay is your best bet!

Re: NC24 parts
Yea, we saw some chinese stuff on ebay - and me and my dad figured the quality might be lacking somewhat. I don;t think my dad is tooo worried about spending a little bit of money on some half decent parts, since he got the bike for free
:D
Will keep an eye out on wemoto for new fork stantions. Just as a side-track idea, are there any fork conversions that may be attempted easily? I expect a reply of "no"...
Thanks,
Matt

Re: NC24 parts
If the bodywork is all in one piece then you could send it off to be mended proffesionally and resprayed, it would look mint and be nigh on its original quality.

This is mine with the chinese kit:

The original 20-year old plastic was rightfully shagged, scraped, split, faded.... this was a pig to fit the first time round but its well worth it, gets some good comments!!

Re: NC24 parts
Thanks veefer! Did you have to modify the fairins in any way to get them to fit?
The original fairings have large scuffs to them. I'll try and get a picture sorted out some time. The nose fairing has some cracks, and a rather obvious bodge job attempted to fill in a gap
I've just been informed, wheel beearings are fubar'd aswell, woo

Original Jap fairings. I also have a complete spare set of mint rothmans panels I managed to get hold of too

Can't really make it out on those pictures but there are a couple of little marks on them where i've brushed it up against the wall putting it to bed.
