What is this HRC box?
Hello,
I have had a NC30 frame for some time has the wiring harness attached. It has a HRC box plugged into the harness towards the rear of the bike that is shown below. Does this just take out the top speed limiter or do anything else. How would I know if the CDI is HRC also? Also any idea of what this stuff is worth since I need to make room in the shop? Parts are located in the USA.
Thanks for the help,
Rod

Does that box's wiring run into a computer type connector? Where's it coming from & going to?

The white plug that normally goes into the CDI plugs into this this box and then the plug from this plugs into the CDI>
Thanks.
Thanks.

OK, that is what I thought it was but does it do anything else like advance the timing or remove the sidestand kill switch? Any idea of what they sold for new?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: What is this HRC box?
All it does is remove the speed restriction, same as a resistor wired in.
An HRC cdi was offered for the nc30 which raises the rev limit and changes ignition timing. The nc30 doesn't have a sidestand switch, hence the bit of rubber at the end of the stand!

I don't have the sidestand for it so I did not think about that. I am guessing the CDI is stock but is there a way to tell?

Re: What is this HRC box?
An nc30 HRC cdi is worth BIG money, I've only ever seen one for sale (Japan), it was sold privately for an undisclosed amount (at a guess was over 500GBP, bidding was over 300 quid when I saw it).
