PLEASE HELP!CBR400 NC23 K model triarm problems?.
Hi all im a newbie to this forum, altho been reading the posts quite a lot,and have found them really helpful
I have had my bike for quite a some time, but it has been standing for a long time due to a small collision with a bambi of some sort.Recently after getting the parts needed.(battery, clutch cable, speedo cable, and a good carb clean, even got the fairings repaired)All excited, after a few saturdays spent workin on her,got her fired up no problem.riding up and down the road smoothly,no spluttering of any sort, although, when coming to a stop, she did tend to cut out, starting right up again.about 10 km worth of riding up and down the road,i was happy she just needed some fine tuning ie pilot screw fine adjustments.the next day(yesterday evening)tried to fire her up,and she just swingin away again.I cant believe it!!
just want to know if you can please suggest any possible diagnosis?I hava a haynes manual and am mechanically minded. She has spark and fuel in the carbs.why wont she work?

Lots of possiblities here.
Lets start with the basics. You will need a multimeter and a Haynes manual. What voltage have you got on the battery? When it trys to start can you hear the motor/ starter motor turning? Is this followed by clicking?

If you hear clicking that is the solenoid. This indicates that there is not enough power to turn the motor over.
This earth leakage test how did you do that?
You say the battery is new so will be 13v. Have you actually checked this?
Have you made any modifications to the bike, and I really do mean anything?
