600 F3 wheels
the front wheel is a straight swap for the 23, fits perfectly :)
now what about the rear wheel? is that the same size or does anyone have one fitted?

Re: 600 F3 wheels
The front is known, it's the same wheel for nc29,30,35; cbr600f3; vfr750 final model. Also fits certain carbed blades for 17" wheel swap. If you like 6 spokes, it can also be used on CB400SF (these usually have 3" rim though); Firestorm; nc23 and maybe (probably) many many various other Hondas, too. I am thinking in particular of the various 250's that I know nothing about.DK-Tandy wrote:the front wheel is a straight swap for the 23, fits perfectly :)

The rear wheel is not quite the same as an nc29 wheel, which does fit the nc23. I think you might struggle for chain alignment. Best to get the nc29 wheel, someone had two they didn't want in Marketplace.

Re: 600 F3 wheels
You want to try the rear from an F2 as this is the correct width (4.5"). It looks identical to an NC29 rear - and may even be the same part.

Re: 600 F3 wheels
The F2 wheel is NOT the same part number, it may way fit fine though, I expect it will probably be the cush drive housing that's different,

Re: 600 F3 wheels
It is, the cush drive is a bigger diameter, and the sprox are different. I think (not sure) that the chain/disc width is different too. I wouldn't risk it unless I had an F2 wheel lying around.BillingCBR wrote:The F2 wheel is NOT the same part number, it may way fit fine though, I expect it will probably be the cush drive housing that's different,

Sorry, I got f2/3 mixed up. F3 has a 180 tyre (I think?) so no chance that'll fit.

Re: 600 F3 wheels
no i think the f3 is a 160 but can fit a 180 at max. So my best bet would be a 29 or f2 wheel.

Re: 600 F3 wheels
I'd go NC29 wheel, it's a tried and tested swap (unless you can get hold of an F2 wheel to try or stupidly cheap) and bolts straight in with a 5 minute mod to the NC23 caliper carrier, that's what Graeme told me, email him, he knows his shit when it comes to these bikes

Re: 600 F3 wheels
Thanks Billing, I have been wondering about the F2 wheel for a while but never tried it.
From my browsing on eBay there does seem to be less demand for F2 wheels than for NC29 wheels, so getting one cheap should be quite possible. However if you want multiple rears it would be preferable for them all to be the same type to save you having to have multiple cush drive/sprocket carriers. If you're not in the mood for experimenting and potentially wasting your time, go NC29.
