Re: putting a price on things
Tbh it looks like I will be hanging onto them then.
Buts it's funny how people are banging on about silhouette being top but quickly disregard this and price them as if their cheap Chinese knock offs.
Didn't come here to start one of those debates, just to put a price on them, but instead looks like I will be catching a cab to cloud 9.

It's not that they are bad quality.hannakournikova wrote:Tbh it looks like I will be hanging onto them then.

It's supply and demand.
This is a double edged sword with somethings.
This nose-cone for example.. it's fairly uncommon but not rocking-horse poo.
The quality of their parts may be excellent but it's in 1 of many possible color schemes.
To get top dollar you need to find somebody with the same scheme who is desperate for one of these nose-cones.
Otherwise somebody vaguely interested will have to add expense to having to get it re-sprayed, and a good job isn't cheap, this impacts your price.
There not also to everyones taste which limits the people who'll want one.
Just becuase it's half decent and uncommon doesn't make it worth lots.. which is why on ebay at al so often you see somethign similar fetch peanuts.. then 6 months later another once fetch silly money... it's being able to find the right buyers.
Personally I wouldn't pay more than around 150.00gbp for it. (if I were in the market)

That's the same scheme as my bike, but personally I dislike the nosecone + uppers being one piece as I always remove my uppers and couldn't be arsed to deal with removing the nose cone each time. If you split up the set I'd possibly be interested in lowers, tank + h piece from the rear

A roaring V4 is the summer soundtrack.

Re: putting a price on things
Ok price for a new one by the time you get it here in the UK is about £350. Deduct what its gunna cost to be painted and then its down to whatever someone thinks a 2nd hand panel is worth.
Personally if i was in the market for one and i could get a decent complete 2nd hand part for less than the RRP then im happy, obvisoulsy condition should reflect in the price. Thing is you have 2 clear lenses on the front, i bet most people would prefer the fiberglass right lense and thats another £50.
Id try it on ebay if you really wanna get shot, it will only take one person with that colour scheme to see it and love it because there rare.

Re: putting a price on things
Last time I checked Tony it was 900 new unpainted for silhouette nose and lowers.
I'm not in any desperation to sell.
Might just bung them in to roofspace when she is at work :)

Re: putting a price on things
My mistake i thought it was just the nose cone, the RVF silhouette lowers extend further back, i assumed the VFR's were the same yet the not.
