NC30 Aftermarket Shock

Post by fit4racing »

Hi All

Can you please help??? I have a brand new WP shock for my NC30 and I was wondering the correct ride height. My NC30 has a RVF rear wheel fitted as well, just wondering whats the best height to start with?? Or has anybody found a good set up etc.

I have searched the forum and cant find much on this, any help would be appreciated.

depends on what you want to do
if you raise the back up then the bike will turn in better

i have raised the back up by 30mm and as the new fork srpings and oil have lifted the front iv lowered the front by 4mm now the bike turns on a sixpence

hi
i have a 17inch rear wheel ricks kit works although i made my own dogbones to atach to the bottom arm
but if you buy ricks its tryed and tested i was experimenting os i like a fast turn in
my old gixer was raised by 25mm at the rear and droped by 8mm at the front some people did not like the set up but i loved it as bike drops at a touch of the bars

Think most aftermarket shocks come set at about 310mm eye to eye. I have mine set a little longer with an RVF linkage but that set up is what i use for the track so might not want it this high for road use.
