Later type VFR fork problem

Post by graham72 » Fri Jul 08, 2011 6:26 pm

Ok, so finally got round to fitting an RO fork kit to a pair of later style forks waiting to go on my bike today, all went well untill I noticed that the little brass adjuster on the top of one of the damping rods wouldnt turn all the way down when adjusting. bugger!
Also noticed when it was apart that a little spring washer thingy that went round the damper rod was snapped too! Does this mean I need to get a whole new damping rod for this shock or can it be repaired?
What are my options? All advice welcome!

Cheers guys!

Hi Graham,

I've got a complete set of late type fork internals including springs, dampers top caps etc that I'd be happy to part with if you need them, they are all working ok :-)

Say £30 posted?

Are the brass adjusters still ok on the top, and the ball bearings still in place so it clicks when they are adjusted? If so yes please!!

Would paypal be ok?

Graham

Hi Graham,

I'll give them a good check over when I get home tonight and send you a pm

May be the easiest way to get your forks fixed up :-)
