[quote="Neosophist"]Couple of tips.

Soak them in plus gas for a couple of hours.

* If you can get a drill chuck on there clamp them up as tight as in a drill chuck and put the drill in low gear reverse and they'll come out easy.

thanks will give that a go that seems to be the principle of the better type remover i should have bought :roll: instead of the cam type which is probably better suited for larger automotive stuff. i have had plenty heat on it from a canister type blowtorch maybe not enough , will get some good plus gas type stuff and get back about it later using this method .
thanks all for the advice .. :rocks:

I had this exact same problem two months ago when I fitted my TYGA system. Rears came out fine but all four front studs snapped. I tried loads of different things before coming to the conclusion that getting someone to weld a nut on is really the best option.

Most of the other methods all rely on you altering the stud in some way to get a good purchase with molgrips or similar. Nothing I tried compared to having a good quality nut and socket and trying it as soon as the weld had gone off and the head/stud was still hot. Once I got the nut on there and a decent connection to put some reasonable force through it the thing almost bloody fell out! I honestly thought it was going to be a drill and helicoil job!

Bite the bullet and get it welded!

I got one out with the drill chuck method but all the other snapped with about 5mm sticking out!

Front studs are always difficult to shift because they get exposed to all the water, snow and salt thrown up from the front wheel, so they corrode easily. The rear studs don't get anything like the same exposure - the shock takes all the crap.

I think, OP, that your best option is to make friends with someone who owns a welder, and ask them to visit... ;)
