Need help pricing an exhaust.

Post by cajun »

Actually found an exhaust system on this side of the pond but in my opinion this guy wants WAYYYYYYYYY too much. Most people over here that have 30 or 35 parts ask ridiculous prices for this stuff because they think that just becasue we have a rare bike over here we are willing to pay whatever. Hell he even listed it wrong with "Spec-A" instead of Yamamoto So my question is....

What's this really worth? it is clean but what would you guys pay for it over there? Only advantage to me buying this one is the shipping cost.

Spec a is indeed yamamoto. Nowhere on the system does it's say yamamoto tho!

Price wise I would expect to pay 400 gbp

I would point him to the tyga site - £800 for a full system.

For that particular system I would pay no more than £500 if I really had to have it. it is nice, but it is, IMO, a cosmetic twin stack rather than a performance one.

Well the problem is lack of available systems here. I'd like to get a performance exhaust but unfortunately there are none here and the RB Immports half system I have is obnoxiously loud to the point that I must get it off.

I have one of those systems, it is indeed an "A-spec" yamamoto.

It does say Yamamoto on mine

That's because they're a pukka race system - not designed with road use in mind!

That used twin stack is pricey compared to what you'll pay on yahoo Japan.

Just use google translate, select the parts area from the left, then type in your search query (e.g. RVF400 or NC30 etc).

Here's the moto parts link: http://translate.google.com.au/translat ... egory.html

get ahold of Rod at hiperform.com (based in LA) The guy who does his systems also does Honda USA race bike systems, awesome stuff. Actually I may have a "race" set of his still laying about (can't run with side stand). I'll have a look Tuesday.
