FireBlade top fairing on NC29?

Post by ANC29 »

My dad recently bought a spare 1996 FireBlade top fairing for some reason which I've forgotten, but now we're toying with the idea of cutting it to size to fit on my 400.
Was wondering if anyone else has had this idea or have any views on this? Really not sure if I should have the balls to go for something different or stick to 'if it aint broke dont fix it'

No harm offering it up but I think you will struggle to mount it. Fireblades are Much bigger than babyblades. If you wanted to cut it to width you'd ideally want to remove material from the exact middle... ie the headlight hole.

The headlights on them are really good though, so there would actually be a real gain to be ha if you got it working, plus I think the foxeye blade looked brilliant. But personally I'd be filling the holes.

Yeah that's a good point, I think I'll leave it. It'll be a really fiddly job and it may not even pay off. I'll just wait till the two years of my restricted license are up and get insured on the Blade
